My Style and Product Review: Wrapped in Clover Necklace (Etsy)

Assalamu Alaykum Folks!

Did you guys know I am having a Giveaway??  It ends on March 15th so hurry and sign up!!

One of the best things I like to search for on Etsy are Up-cycled pieces. Upcycling is a process of taking used, undervalued or discarded materials and recreating it for a new use. A lot of jewelry designers do this on Etsy, and I must say I am in love. Remember my upcycled ring? Here are some other reasons I like upcycled schtuff:

1. They look better-Usually more unique in appearance because they use rare pieces older pieces

2. Better quality-the fact that they use older pieces that have lasted this long! means it doesn't break or wear out as easily

3. So eco friendly- A great habit to adopt is caring about this earth. Not everything has to be new and factory made. Uncycling helps to combat waste by repositioning things that would have been neglected otherwise.

In my searches I found an intriguing designer who re purposes old jewelry in some of the beautiful designs I have ever seen from an etsy store known as Wrapped in Clover. Several days ago I received my item and decided to show you all it here as well as how I plan on wearing it inshallah.

Enjoy!

Watermelon Candy Necklace

Ms. McGoldrick's packaging alone deserves applause. It was beautiful, consistent and followed in the same theme of being eco friendly.

I was so pleased to receive a personalized Thank you letter. The necklace was in such a beautiful presentation. I absolutely love it. Because of the way its made, the necklace can be secured by tying the silk ribbon behind the neck. It is so long I can wear it all the way to my waist!

I paired this colorful watermelon candy necklace with my Yellow Asos skater dress (just like this outfit but a different color). I have never worn yellow before in my life so this was a first for me. I was so please with the color I almost couldn't take it off!

This is a fake outfit because I didn't go anywhere today. This is to show you how I'd wear the necklace when the weather gets warmer. I also would wear this with much dressier outfits as well!

Next time you are in the need to buy gifts or something nice for yourself would you consider buying Eco-friendly schtuff like used, vintage, or upcycled?
