I hope you are all in the best of health and imaan (faith)!

I have a question for you...what kind of shopper are you? I read this in a great book I am reading (review coming soon) and I thought it was a wonderful way of getting to know what are our innermost motivations. 

 Here is the scenario: 

You walk into the store and you see a scarf or dress in multiple colors. Which color do you choose and why? You can choose based on 3 motivations: 

1. I choose because I love the color!
2. I choose because this particular color looks good on me!
3. I choose because this color is in season now and is really trendy!

My Answer: Personally I usually choose stuff that looks good on me. Overtime I happened to fall in love with these colors as well. I definitely love neutrals, deep royal colors like violets and emeralds, most shades of pinks, and black. I can't stand myself in yellows and anything too light like white or cream because I think it makes me look matronly and chubby chunk!

For me, no matter how much something is in trend, or no matter how much I love the color I always will default to what I think looks best on me physically.   That's my innermost shopping motivation.

Here is the outfit I wore going into the city a few days ago, I was very busy this weekend and I can barely contain myself with all the things I have coming up in the next month!!! When I finally got the chance to watch TV over some one's house I immediately found myself in love with a show called Face Off. Its a competitive show that takes the top special effects make up artists on a bunch of challenges to see who lands on top. Everything about their creative process as well as their execution fascinated me. Mashallah they are so talented! But then I heard a comment from the back of the room

Take a look at your closet, what do you normally see? Is it superbly organized and perhaps color coded? Or does it look like WW3 took place there last night? How easy is it for you to get dressed in the morning? I would say my method was usually very holistic. First I would run around amassing piles of clothes while sighing after several failed attempts to match an outfit with my mood.

Storage Solutions: Brooches

Everyone has an itch they need to scratch. For some, it’s shoes. For me, it’s scarves and brooches.

I think am starting to collect brooches like I collect air. 

Now I need to find them a place to stay. I was researching online and found a great brooch-specific storage solution. 

Option 1: (idea based off of this post from already pretty blog)

1.       Take ribbon/belt
2.       Pin/hook to wall so its hanging 
3.       Attach Brooches

Ebay Buying adventures and Why I love it!

I absolutely love Ebay! Although I have only been using it for a few years it is my first "go-to" whenever I have a need, be it clothes, jewelry, gifts or supplies. It is usually when I can not find something on Ebay for a good deal, that I try another source. The other day, I nearly scoffed when I discovered one of my friends has still has yet to jump on the Ebay bandwagon! But if you are like her, you should know Ebay has so much to offer.
