My Style: Hijab Shot

Asalamu Alaykum Folks!

Friday night was not good for me. I was under a lot of anxiety. Sou sou woke up every 15 to 30 minutes crying constantly. She made sure to sleep on my chest despite me pushing her off. It wasn't until the next morning (when there was light) when I realized she just wasn't being fussy. There was something green under one of her finger nails. I didn't know if she had a splinter or what.
Her finger got more swollen and green during the day and I grew more worried. Eventulaly I called an emergency nurse line and received the advice to go to ER. Roomie and I got ready (she prepared a bag of rice) and  took 3 books for reading. They decided it was a minor infection and had to lance it. Now shes on antibiotics and making an amazing recovery. Alhamdooliilah that's over.

Ok here is a small snippet of the Futua scarf I got from asos which was only a little over 20 usd. Although its very long and wide, its not voluminous and has a tendency to fall flat. I found that my normal way of wrapping wouldn't work so I discovered that by instead of letting the pieces fall, to connect them around a brooch on the side of my head. Then I fluffed the opposite side to keep up with the volume and it turned out like this....

Tomorrow I will be featuring a great sis who is doing amazing things and for the rest of the week, I will do my best at posting as things are going to get a little sticky for me. I am moving in a month and supposed to be opening up shop soon.

Something tells me I might have to push the date back...what do you guys think?

  1. awf I'm glad Sou Sou is okay and that it was nothing huge :) It's scary when little kids are hurting but you don't know why or where they're hurting. Love the scarf! and the flower piece fits really well.

  3. I am so glad she's doing better. I wonder what it was all about. I bet it hurt so much *poor baby*
You are looking good. I never dress up my hijabs anymore.
Good luck with the move and setting up shop. Even if you have to push back a bit, it's not bad getting settled in a new place.
