GAWgeous Schtuff: Habiba Moroccan Vintage Doll!

Asalamu Akaykum folks!

I am in so much pain, my legs are tense and I have a bjillion things to do this week. I worked out yesterday on very few hours of sleep and had the nerve to do an entire Insanity workout. I truly know how fluffly and out of shape I am in and my calves feel like cement because of it.

Now on to the fun stuff!

Once Upon a time...

I conducted an odd search on etsy one day (months ago) and ran into this beauty. I never thought about Vintage Ethnic dolls but when I saw this listing my heart almost stopped. I haven't seen something so well made and intriguing. The fact that it is old, authentic, and Middle Eastern made it all the more appealing.

I don't really buy dolls for Sou sou and I wouldn't let her have this until she gets old, and understands not to eat it. I am hoping to give it to her as a gift for becoming a young lady one day...what do you guys think?

Tis lovely no?

This is a great gift idea, but hurry because they are hard to find. Id choose anything from overseas and vintage over the stuff in stores any day :)

Don't forget about the GIVEAWAY (I added pictures and an extra goodies!!)

Also, take a hop and a skip over to Called Ambreen as she was so kind enough to interview me. Shay likes to do interviews so if you'd like to expand your blog and reach wider audience, get in touch with her :).

  6. Wow, that really looks so beautiful. The other day I was reading about a town in Pakistan that used to train the people to make wooden toys. With the new toys, they were hit pretty hard...but now people are interested in it again. Those types of toys always lasted so long. My mom still has some of our really old toys that are classics. This new plastic stuff breaks after a few months.

    1. You are absolutely right sippingchai. THe wood toy industry is in demand now. People want safer, and more eco-friendly stuff. I find that he more simple the toy the more imagination it encourages.Thats wonderful you mom knew to hang on it. I avoid getting toys nowadays because of issues with quality and some of it is way too much.

  7. Pretty, I too think the fact that it's vintage is special and makes it more of a collectible than a toy.
