This post is in part inspired by Sobia from Reveiling Yourself as well as all the tons of other hijab storage ideas posted on the internet. I have always had trouble storing my hijabs. Here are the reasons why:
- I have lots of fricken Hijabs
- Most of mine are maxi (Voluminous and on the thicker side so they take up more space)
- Mon Sou sou makes it her mission in life to incite chaos wherever she roams as well a try on all my scarves
In the past tried folding them in drawers but I just couldn't keep up with the maintenance and I kept running out of space.
Do any of you have this problem?
So when I was putting my room back together I decided this style.
By the way, I have never looked back!
Basically I took this Over the Door Multi Hook Rack
and hung all my scarves on the hooks.
and hung all my scarves on the hooks.
Here is why I absolutely love this method of storage:
- It's purely visual. All my scarves are displayed.
- It is very strong and sturdy. Right now it can easily hold all the scarves I own
- It keeps my scarves high up and out of reach of sou sou
- It hangs on the inside of a door so I can close it out of view.

DeleteThey are good. I use them for towels in bathroom, hijabs, jilbaabs and general clothing that needs to be out of the way. I buy them for a pound each which I think is just under two dollars for you sisters. The various patterns and designs of hijabs you have looked beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks sanaa! For less than 2 dollars you must mean the single hooks right? Thank you about the hijabs, I set them all nice and pretty just for the picture haha!
DeleteI though I commented on this but I guess it didn't go through. I love this idea but I'd need like 4 of them, hence 4 doors. There's gotta be a good way. Or I just need to have less hijabs.
ReplyDeleteWell here is an idea, you could really just use two doors, because you can easily place one on the inside facing and outside sides of the doors. It could work, or you can just set away a separate room for the scarves haha! I can't wait until you do a post once you solve your problem :)
