Khalo folks! And Asalamu Akaykum!
I was inspired by Sis M. who featured some beautiful gifts she received from Saudi Arabia. A few months ago, my supervisor returned from Hajj (mashallah) and came bearing gifts!
When I saw, I was so touched I ran up to her and squeezed her. I had never received something so pretty and so precious and with so much meaning. Getting something from saudi for me feels like getting some precious artifact. My whole life I have been saving my a red one from my childhood like a keepsake. Inshallah, I hope to pass this too down to my daughter one day...
Tasbih from KSA |
Now as Gawgeous as these are, funny how it never compelled me to say more dhikr. So I consider this post a wake up call to remind my self to keep my tongue more busy with the names of Allah.
When do you find time to recite dhikr? Anyone else need a wake up call like moi?
That's nice! I recently got a pretty pink one from a friend who went to Hajj.
ReplyDeleteooooOHHHH pink?! I wish I could see that!
DeleteMashallah, It's nice! I think they make great gifts...
ReplyDeleteThanks amal! That's true, I should probably get into the habit of buying them for my best chicas...do you find ones like this in UAE?
DeleteThat's gorgeous! I'd be looking more forward to saying dhikr with that. I'd try to make a cute bracelet out of it :P
ReplyDeleteThanks :)! I tried to turn it into a bracelet but my wrist was too chunky and it only wrapped 2 times :(
DeleteMashallah... so beautiful

Thank you M. Your post, after all was my inspiration. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI just completed hajj this year, too AH (May Allah (swt) accept it)...and bought the same exact ones in different color shades for all of my aunts/uncles.
ReplyDeleteDhikr has been one of the areas I started to work on about a year ago. I make sure the least I do is the dhikr after every Salah and before bed. During Ramadan, I got into a good habit of doing the morning adkhaar and the evening adhkhaar. Unfortunately, I haven't kept up with it as consistently as I would like...but I am working on that now.
Here's a site I use (I also have their minibook) http://makedua.com/. They should also have the daily dhikr for morning, evening, and before bed. Hope you find this beneficial :)
WOw mashallah sister. Congratulations on Hajj. Mashallah. May He accept your efforts ameen. My supervisor brought multiple colors back but this is the one I chose. For you to do dhikr every Salah is beautiful mashallah. I want to strive to do the same.
DeleteI have visited that site and I really like it. Thank you for comment :)!
