Yes its been awhile since I moved here to New York! I finally got the time (and energy) to blog about it.
My Sis and I were very blessed to get some manly help the day of the move, it happened to be from someone unexpected and my old neighborhood friends. After stuffing everybody with egg sandwiches and fat kid donuts, it took us only an hour to upload the truck before we had to retrieve some more items from her parent's home. THen alhamdoolilah we all safely made it up to Queens.
It was the first time I saw our street, and the first time I saw the apartment. I put my full trust in Sis and she did an awesome job. Our new home is cozy tiny but for the price and location and neighborhood its worth it. We are very close to a subway (which is a must in NY) and our neighborhood is beautiful, quiet, and safe. Everyone on our block seems to have grown up with each other and we are the fresh newbies here. I think I should emphasize how hard it is to find decent warm folk around here and it feels that much more like a true "home."
After we parked the truck and cars, everyone took a look at the empty apartment then strolled up the street to the boardwalk. It is all uphill, which makes seeing the final view that much more exciting!
Here are some photos that I took recently, now its getting colder of course!
The day we moved it was great sunny weather and sou sou ran in the ocean followed by moi...so yes I was soaking wet for the rest of the day hahah!
A day later her and I both got sick with the flu and I am still battling an ear infection because of it.
There is so much to do and so many plans ahead, too much to name for this blog but you can bet you will be hearing more from me soon.
Adieu!
Beautiful pictures.
